Water... essential to life
Opening dates
From 30 January until 6 December 2025
Regenerative and invigorating, here the water soothes as much as it energises. Hot water springs have gushed from the land for thousands of years which in part could be considered the Catalonian blood which bubbles.
Amélie-les-Bains Palalda, first spa town of the pyrénées, managed by Chaîne Thermale du Soleil since 1977, welcomes you to these beautiful establishments which have perfectly incorporated the remains of the ancient roman baths. The hyperthermal water from 11 sources can be considered superior in quality by its level of sulphur and thermal plancton, rich in minerals, vitamins and trace elements.
Treatment from an avant-garde thermal technology which is at the forefront of natural goodness: let yourself be soothed in the mud baths and kaolin poultice, be relaxed by the showers or underwater jets, be reinvigorated by the "vaporarium" and inhalations in Wood's light. The quality of the technology and the ancestral goodness of the thermal waters allow you to alleviate your pains , recuperate your full range of motions and respiratory capacity.

The Roman Vault
Dating from the 2nd century AD, it measures 11m high and 22m long. To the right and left of the vault there are alcoves:
"Frigidarium" and "Caldarium", in which the Romans took "cold" and "hot" water. In the central sits an intact Roman bath, covered with sand and protected under the Thermal bath changing rooms. To the left of the vault, there is another visible Roman bath, above which another vault was erected in the 18th century at the time of Queen Amélie.
