Since 1935, the year of the founding of the Fêtes Occitanes, the International Folkloric Festival has continued to grow. It proved this by joining the CIOFF (International Council of Organizations of Folkloric Festivals) in 1983, placed under the high patronage of UNESCO.
Choreographic and musical jousts, eminently peaceful, the Festival, in a kaleidoscope of colors and rhythms, offers visitors an unforgettable image of the richness of world cultures and the fleeting feeling of a possible peace between all peoples.
