GREENWAY / PIRINEXUS / EUROVÉLO 8
- The Véloroute Voie Verte which crosses the Pyrenees Mediterranean region is a cycle route of nearly 90 kilometers. This circuit is ideal for day trips, especially in the section upstream of Céret, because the route follows an old railway line, where many vestiges of this railway past remain. This infrastructure is also a stage for a bicycle trip beyond the border, in fact this beautiful route is part of the large Pirinexus cross-border loop, but also support from Argeles sur Mer of the large European route Eurovélo 8, la Mediterranée à vélo.
- The Vallespir has 33 km of Véloroute Voie Verte! Enough to spend a pleasant sporting and nature stay on our territory and discover all its other riches.
PIRINEXUS
- Pirinexus, a cross-border loop of more than 350 km, passes by the Véloroute Verte du Vallespir! This links our territory to Southern Catalonia.
It takes 6 stages to complete this circuit which allows you to discover Catalonia, from the Mediterranean coast, to the Pyrenees. This gives you time, with stages around 50 km per day, to take advantage of the many heritage treasures and spectacular landscapes that mark out this cyclo route.
- The guide is available for € 5 in the Departmental Council shops (Maison de la Catalanite, Royal Castle of Collioure, Priory of Serrabonne, Palace of the Kings of Majorca).
LA MÉDITERRANÉE À VÉLO / EUROVÉLO 8
- A stay on the Mediterranean by Bike / Eurovélo 8 means Crossing the Mediterranean arc by bike, what a beautiful invitation to travel and adventure. this 850km cycling experience passes through Vallespir via the Voie Verte Véloroute!
It stretches from Menton to Perthus!
