Via Ferrata of Roc de la Campana

🧗‍♂️ Description

This via ferrata in Amélie-les-Bains combines climbing and three suspension bridges over the Mondony River. It can be tackled independently (a guide is recommended for beginners). Designed for thrill seekers, it offers magnificent views of the valley and the Canigó massif.

• Difficulty: K2 (intermediate according to the Hüsler scale)
• Estimated duration: 2 hours 30 minutes + 45 minutes return walk
• Independent access (with the possibility of supervision)
• Required equipment: helmet, harness, lanyard, gloves

📅 Hours and periods

• Open all year round (except in case of bad weather or weather alerts)
• May : 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• June to September : 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

📍 Access

The starting point is located 50 m downstream from the Mondony natural pool, on the right bank. You have to cross the river on foot to reach the start of the route.

The return route follows the flag trail back to the parking lot of the former Military Thermal Hospital.
