Category I Tourist Office

 

The Amélie-les-Bains Tourist Office is classified as Category I, the highest level of classification for tourist offices in France. This classification guarantees a professional welcome, reliable and un-to-date information, a trained team committed to continuous improvement, and membership of the national network of tourist Offices.

The Destination d'Excellence label

 

Created in 2024, the Destination d'Excellence label is the only government label awarded to tourism professionals commited to offering their visitors an exemplary quality experience, while strengthening the eco-responsibility of their services. Applied across the entire tourism sector, it replaced the "Qualité Tourisme" label in May 2024. Quality, eco-responsibility, inclusivity and professionalism are at the heart of the values promoted by the label.

Our Tourist Office is naturally part of this drive for progress and will apply for the label in 2026.

The Accueil Vélo label

 

The Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda Tourist Office has been awarded the "Accueil Vélo" label. This national label guarantees cyclists a warm welcome, information on cycle routes and services, and useful equipment (basic repair kit, practical advice, partner addresses, etc.).

Whether you are travelling along the greenway or on a cycling holiday in the valley, the Tourist Office is your contact point for cyclists.

Since 2020, Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda has been certified Station Verte, France's leadinf ecotourism label. This distinction promotes nature destinations, outdoor activities, environmental quality and local produce.

Petites Villes de Demain :a region on the move

 

Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda is a winner of the national "Petites Villes de Demain" programme which supports municipality in their ecological, social and economic transition. The aim is to improve the living environment, revitalise the town centre and develop sustainable transport.

The Tourist Office is involved in these discussions and relays the actions carried out across the valley.
