Amélie-les-Bains Palalda, station verte

What is a Station Verte c'est?

Created in 1964 by the fédération Française des Stations Vertes et des villages de Neige , Station Verte is France's leading ecotourism label. A Station Verte is a welcoming destination in the heart of the countryside, recognised nationally as an organised resort offering meaningful holidays that promote nature-based, authentic, people-oriented and environmentally friendly tourism.

Travelling into a Station Verte resort means:
- Discover tourism that is both authentic and respectful of local characteristics.
- Promoting sustainable initiatives that respect and preserve nature.
- Enjoy a full range of activities related to natural, cultural or historical heritage.
- Local tourism that is both people-oriented and respectful of the region.
- Enable the natural attractions of the area to be promoted.

Ecotourism at the heart of the Station Verte network's concerns
Through its commitment to ecotourism, the Station Verte label promotes the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage of areas with an educational component and contributes to the well-being of local communities.
Every year throughout the month of May, the Stations Vertes invite you to celebrate these essential values, the ecotourism values of the Station Verte label for over 55 years, through all the events and activities offered during the Ecotourism Festival!
