BOURSE D'ECHANGE MINERALOGIE

Descriptif

The Association Minéralogique et Paléontologique du Vallespir is holding its second mineral, fossil and geological object exchange fair in the Espace Méditerranée hall in Amélie-les-Bains from 9am to 4pm.

Admission is free and open to all. Buying and selling is strictly prohibited.



This event brings together all amateur collectors of minerals and fossils from the Occitanie region who want to exchange the pieces they have found during their research to increase and/or diversify their collections.

Visitors will be able to discover the personal finds of these collectors (minerals, fossils, sands, micro-minerals, etc.) and watch them negotiate exchanges.



These amateur collectors are always open to discussion, so they can share their passion with visitors, especially youngsters, who are eager to discover traces of our planet's past or the crystallisations contained in rocks, and perhaps inspire future vocations.



In mineralogy, you'll be able to see garnets from the Pyrénées Orientales, calcites from the Hérault and Gard, pyromorphite from the Aveyron, quartz from the Alps, and many other wonders from the French mountains. In palaeontology, ammonites from the Corbières, Aveyron and Southern Alps, trilobites from the Montagne Noire in the Aude and Hérault, fossil ferns from the Hérault and Gard, and many other witnesses to the past life of our Earth.
